There's a great scene in the movie "Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead" when one of the characters finds a creative way to do the dishes. When I was a kid watching this movie I thought that was the coolest way to "do the dishes" I had ever seen.
Now that I'm older I have come to realize a couple of things. First, that scene is not actually that great, and second using the dishwasher seems was easier then climbing on my roof after having waited 10 days to buy a gun.
Chalk it up to elderly wisdom or just plain laziness...either way there's nothing like a few birthdays to give you a different perspective on life.
