After 7 days in the snow and the cold, I have to admit it was nice to be back in sunny Southern California. That is not to take anything away from the mid-west, I absolutely loved having a white Christmas and enjoyed the hell out of my time there. It's just that I am from Southern California and 70 degrees and sunny without a cloud in the sky "feels" like winter to me.
In fact, December and January are two of the best months to live in San Diego. There is just enough rain sprinkled in between gorgeous days like this to keep things green and crisp and beautiful. The mornings are cool and the nights can be cold, but it's flip-flop weather all day.
After all, snow shoes just aren't all that comfortable.
