My co-worker Jenny Cavnar has been involved with the After School All-Stars, a non-profit organization that specializes is helping kids succeed in school and life, for a couple of years now. She collaborates a lot with Chargers linebacker Shuan Phillips on events, but none of them are as unique as the annual Dodge Ball tournament.
Think lots of 20 somethings in costumes throwing balls at each other and generally partying for a good cause. The ultimate prize at this party is to be crowned the champion Dodge Ball team, but if you're terrible at the sport and still want to win something, you can.
That's where Tony Gwynn Jr, Jenny and I come in. We were the judges for the costume portion of the party tonight, and like all good judges we couldn't come up with a winner...so we picked two. The Super Mario Bro's team and the Wrangler-wearing Brett Favre look-alikes taking pictures of their junk and sending it to an attractive Jets employee.
Like you could have come up with a winner between those two.
